## **MAIN USES IN THE HO.RE.CA, RETAIL AND FOOD PROCESSING**
| ▶️ **Room deodorization :** Odors are caused by chemical molecules suspended in the air or deposited on surfaces. Ozone eliminates odors breaking the odorous molecule without leaving harmful residues; deodorants do not eliminate odors, they just cover them. ## OZONE AS MULTI-PURPOSE SANITIZER
| **ITALIAN REGULATIONS:** Protocol 24482 dated 31.07.1996 issued by the **Italian Ministry of Health** defines **ozone** as a **natural substance for the sterilization** of environments contaminated by bacteria, viruses, spores, mites and moulds, etc., and as a disinfectant agent in the treatment of air and water. **USA:** **FDA (Food and Drug Administration)** approved the use of **ozone** as an **antimicrobial** in food production processes: meat, eggs, fish, cheeses, fruit, vegetables. **EUROPEAN COMMUNITY:** the use of **ozone** was introduced in 2003 as **a sterilizer and disinfectant** during the bottling processes of mineral waters. | |
